  • Name Aridas Peter George
Born 24 Apr 1884  Agios Ioannis - St. Johns, Sparta, Laconia, Greece Find all individuals with events at this location  [1, 2, 3, 4, 5
    Address:
Alaimbey, a location in Agios Ioannis
    • Mitroon Arrenon, 1898, Sparta:
Line 06, Number 3475: Aridas, Petros, father Georgios, born Alaimbey in 1898.

Aridas, Petros, born 1898 in Alaimbey (now Krokeai), Lakonia, Greece; father: Georgios; death recorded in 1935.
Information from Mitroon Arrenon; received from General Archives of Greece, Dimos Lakonia, Office in Sparta - May 2009.

      Alaimbey/Alaimpei:
Aris Poulimenakos research letter dated October 29, 2013 to Carol Petranek:
       My question to Aris:
It is possible, but not likely, that the Mitroon Arrenon for Petros Aridas, born 1898 in Alaimbey (father: Georgios), could be the same person as the Petros born 1884 – however, the dates are 14 years apart and the birthplace is not Agios Ioannis. For this reason, I believe they are two separate people unless we can find documentation to prove they are the same.
His response, sent October 29, 2013:
Petros is the two cases are most likely the same person. The real YOB (year of birth) and the time of enrollment into the Mitroa unfortunately had such big differences sometimes. The place of birth mentioned in the Mitroo (Alaimpei) is a location of Agios Ioannis (not of the Municpality of Krokees; that one is another location sounding almost the same).”

With this information, I am concluding that this Mitroon Arrenon  of Petros Aridas, father Georgios, born Alambey in 1898 is my godfather, Peter Aridas.
