    • Mom always said she was born on March 10. When she was getting ready to retire and had to send in a copy of her birth certificate to Social Security, the date was March 12. When she saw this, she said "My mother would know what date I was born. Maybe the doctor didn't register me for a couple of days after I was born." As family, we decided to use Mom's "official" government-issued birthdate of March 12, for official documents to avoid problems with date discrepancies.
