    Notes
    • Occupation: farmer.
Assume Benjamin G. was named after Benjamin Green Wright, his great-uncle who married Jane Broomhall, Joannah's sister.

Birth: Family bible has his birthday as May 11, 1857 and death as October 18, 1882
Originally we used the date from marriage record (I didn't record what it is). However, calculating back from the death certificate below, his birth year is 1856.
Death record says he was born in Henry Co., IL (which is where William owned land; William didn't live in Rock County). Resident of Iowa 7yrs 7months. His marriage cert. says he was born in Rock Co., IL - he would have given that info.

Death record found in Taylor Co. courthouse (Bedford, Iowa). He was 26yrs 5m 7d (death certificate). Cause of death was typhoid, malaria fever.

Death record says Benjamin is buried in Lenox Cemetery, however, we did not find him in the Lenox Cemeteries or in the cemetery record books.

Other: 1880 census say he was 23yrs old.

Died one year after marriage; no children.
